when I arrived:My mom rescued me from the shelter on her 16th birthday. Her parents did not want her to choose me because I was not neutered and had fleas, but when she picked me up, I gave her as many kisses as I could! We had 16 1/2 happy years together.
bio:I was a loving, laid-back, long-haired male Persian. In my younger days I was quite the cricket hunter. Now I am in Heaven with my best friend Sota, an energetic Springer Spaniel, who passed away a few years ago.
likes:sleeping, cuddling, being brushed, watching "kitty TV" (i.e., looking out the window), loves his Auntie Chris and other friends

RIP Marty
With much love and sadness, Marty was sent to heaven this afternoon.  I take comfort in the fact that he had a very good long life and was loved by all who knew him.  I am also glad that he did not suffer much.   I rescued him from the Animal Protective League 16 1/2 years ago and he's been the best cat anyone could ever ask for.  I'm sure I'll have another furry fr...
